Image Rotator — Rotate & Flip

No — the rotator runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is rotated, flipped and downloaded on your own device — it is never sent to a server, logged or stored. That makes it safe for private photos, screenshots and confidential graphics, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded. Closing the tab clears everything.

Yes — an exact angle is possible. Use the angle slider to rotate by any degree from -180° to 180°, which is ideal for straightening a crooked horizon. The canvas automatically grows to fit the rotated image, and the newly exposed corners are left transparent for PNG and WebP or filled white for JPG. For 90° turns, the Rotate Left and Rotate Right buttons are one tap.

Rotating turns the whole image around its centre — 90° makes a landscape photo portrait, for example. Flipping mirrors it: Flip Horizontal swaps left and right (like a mirror selfie), and Flip Vertical swaps top and bottom. You can combine them — for instance rotate 90° then flip — and the live preview always shows the current result before you download.

A 90°, 180° or 270° turn and both flips only rearrange whole pixels, so no detail is resampled. The saved file is still re-encoded on the way out, though: choose PNG to keep it lossless, while JPG and WEBP recompress at the quality you set. A free angle that is not a multiple of 90° resamples the image, which is normal and barely visible. Keeping the source format preserves the most detail; switching to JPG or WEBP re-encodes with a quality slider you control.

Phone cameras often store a photo in its raw sensor orientation plus an EXIF rotation flag. Some apps ignore that flag and show the image sideways. Rotating it here bakes the correct orientation into the pixels themselves, so it displays the right way up everywhere — then you can resize or compress it with the companion Image Resizer and Image Compressor if needed.
