Frequently Asked Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No — the collage maker runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API. Your photos are combined and downloaded on your own device and are never sent to a server, logged or stored. That makes it safe for personal pictures, and it keeps working offline once the page has loaded. Closing the tab clears everything.
How many photos can I combine?
Add as many as you like, then pick a grid layout — 2×2 fits four, 3×3 fits nine, and there are 2×1, 1×2, 3×1 and 1×3 options for rows and columns. Photos fill the cells in the order you added them; if you add more than the grid holds, the extras are simply not shown until you choose a bigger layout. The biggest grid holds nine photos at once.
Why is part of my photo cropped?
Each cell is a fixed square and the photo is scaled to fill it completely, so anything outside the square is trimmed. This keeps the grid neat with no gaps inside a cell. To show more of a photo, crop it to roughly square first with the Image Cropper, or choose a layout whose cells better match your photo's shape.
Can I change the spacing and background?
Yes — spacing and background are both adjustable. The gap slider sets the space between and around the photos, the rounding slider softens the cell corners, and the colour picker sets the background shown in the gaps and corners. Set the gap to zero for a seamless grid, or increase it with a white background for a clean framed look.
