An invoice is a request for payment — you send it before the customer pays, and it shows what's owed and a due date. A receipt is proof of a payment that's already happened — it records what was paid, how and when, and any balance still due. Bill first with the Invoice Generator, then hand over a receipt from the Receipt Generator once you've been paid.
Both tools run entirely in your browser using a self-hosted PDF engine, and both produce an A4 PDF. Your business details, your customer's details, the amounts and any logo you add are never uploaded — the logo is embedded straight into the PDF, and your current document is saved only in your browser's local storage. No sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many documents you create.

What's the difference between an invoice and a receipt?
An invoice is a request for payment you send before the customer pays; a receipt is proof of a payment that has already happened. The invoice carries a due date and payment terms, because the money is still owed. The receipt carries the payment date and method, because the money has arrived. Use the Invoice Generator to ask for payment and the Receipt Generator to confirm one.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No — the LK Forge document generators upload nothing; both tools run entirely in your browser. Your details and any logo are never uploaded; the logo is embedded straight into the PDF, and your current document is saved only in your browser's local storage. That means the document is still there when you return on the same device and browser, and gone once you clear site data. Downloaded PDFs go wherever your browser saves files.
Is it free? Any watermark or limit?
Yes — the LK Forge document tools are free. There's no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many documents you create. Nothing is held back behind a paid tier, so the PDF you download is the finished document. Because everything runs on your own device, there is no per-document cost to pass on.
Can I add my logo and choose a currency?
Yes — both generators let you add a PNG or JPG logo and pick a currency. Click Add logo and choose the image; it then appears at the top of the preview and in the downloaded PDF. Both tools offer the same currency list: USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY, CNY, CHF, INR, SGD, ZAR, BRL and MXN. Amounts are formatted with the symbol and digit grouping of whichever currency you pick.
Can I create many invoices at once?
Yes — the Bulk Invoice Generator reads an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file and returns a ZIP with one PDF invoice per invoice number. Put one line item per row, and reuse the same invoice number to group several items onto a single invoice. Download the template first so your column headers match the ones the parser expects. Parsing and PDF generation both run in your browser, so the spreadsheet is never uploaded.
