Bulk Receipt Generator

A bulk receipt generator turns one spreadsheet into many finished payment receipts at once: upload an .xlsx, .xls or .csv file and get back a ZIP holding one A4 PDF receipt per receipt number — marked PAID when paid in full, or showing the balance still due for a part payment. Download the template, fill in one row per line item, upload it, and generate the ZIP. No sign-up, nothing uploaded — the file is read right here in your browser.

  1. Get the template

Download the Excel template, then fill in a row for each line item. Reuse the same Receipt # on several rows to put multiple items on one receipt. Leave Amount Paid blank for a receipt paid in full.

  2. Upload your file

How to generate receipts from Excel

Click Download Excel template to get a spreadsheet with the right columns and example rows. Fill in one row per line item — the columns cover your business, who paid you, the receipt number and date, the payment method, the item description, quantity and unit price, plus optional tax, the amount paid and a note. To put several items on one receipt, give those rows the same Receipt #. Save the file, upload it here, and click Generate to download a ZIP containing one PDF per receipt.

Paid in full or part-paid

The Amount Paid column decides what each receipt says. Leave it blank and the receipt is paid in full: the amount paid equals the total and the PDF gets a green PAID stamp. Enter a smaller figure for a deposit or instalment and the PDF lists the amount paid and the balance due instead, with no stamp. An overpayment shows a zero balance rather than a negative one. The summary after upload tells you how many receipts in the file are part-paid, so you can check before generating.

What the template columns mean

The template has 15 columns, and only four of them are required: Received From, Item Description, Qty and Unit Price. If any of those headers is missing, the upload is rejected with a message naming it. A receipt is skipped — and listed as skipped in the summary — when it has no payer name or no valid line items. The optional columns are Receipt #, Date, Payment Method, Currency, Business Name, Business Details, Payer Details, Tax Rate, Tax Label, Amount Paid and Notes. Values that describe the whole receipt are taken from its first row, so fill them in once per receipt number. Dates can be written as YYYY-MM-DD or M/D/YYYY. Payment Method is printed as you type it, such as Cash, Card, Bank transfer or Check. Currency accepts USD, EUR, GBP, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY, CNY, CHF, INR, SGD, ZAR, BRL or MXN; a blank or unrecognised code falls back to USD.

Nothing is uploaded

Your spreadsheet is read entirely in your browser — it is never sent to a server. The PDFs are built on your device by a self-hosted PDF engine and zipped locally, so your business and your customers' details stay with you. There is no row limit, no receipt limit and no sign-up; you get a single receipts.zip with one A4 PDF per receipt, each named after its receipt number and payer. Every receipt is drawn by the same code as the Receipt Generator, so a bulk receipt and a single one with the same details are identical.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this bulk receipt generator really free?
Yes — the LK Forge Bulk Receipt Generator is completely free, with no sign-up and no limit on how many receipts you create. It runs entirely in your browser, so your spreadsheet and your customers' payment details are never uploaded to a server. The only practical ceiling is your device's memory, because the whole batch is built in the tab.
How do I mark a receipt as paid or part-paid?
Use the Amount Paid column on each receipt's first row. Leave it blank when the receipt is paid in full: the PDF shows the total as the amount paid and gets a green PAID stamp. Enter a smaller amount for a part payment: the PDF shows the amount paid and the balance still due, with no stamp. An overpayment shows a zero balance, never a negative one.
Which spreadsheet columns are required?
Four columns are required: Received From, Item Description, Qty and Unit Price. Everything else is optional, including Receipt #, Date, Payment Method, Currency, Business Name, Business Details, Payer Details, Tax Rate, Tax Label, Amount Paid and Notes. If a required header is missing, the generator names it rather than producing a broken batch. Column order does not matter, because headers are matched by name.
Do bulk receipts look the same as single receipts?
Bulk receipts are drawn by the same renderer as the single Receipt Generator, so the layout, the totals, the tax line, the PAID stamp and the balance due come out identical to a receipt made one at a time with the same details. The data source is what differs: a single receipt is typed into the on-page form, while a batch is read from your spreadsheet's Received From, Payment Method and item columns. A logo added before generating carries over to every receipt in that batch, just as it would on one receipt.
