Build a flowchart without installing anything
The templates panel carries the five standard flowchart shapes — Process, Decision, Terminator, Data and Connector — plus a starter chart you can build on. The toolbar adds 12 general tools (select, pencil, line, arrow, rectangle, rounded rectangle, ellipse, polygon, text, sticky note, image and eraser) for everything a diagram needs around those shapes. Each shape acts as a node joined by arrow edges, and shapes stay vector while you edit — SVG exports stay scalable, PNG exports render at 2x.

Start with a terminator. Drag a Terminator shape onto the canvas to mark where the process begins.

Add your steps. Drop in Process boxes and Decision diamonds, and double-click any shape to edit its label.

Connect them. Join shapes with the arrow tool. Turn on the grid, then drag a placed shape or connector to snap it into alignment.

Export. Save a PNG or SVG for docs and slides, or a JSON project so you can keep editing later.

What flowchart shapes are included?
The templates panel includes standard flowchart shapes — process boxes, decision diamonds, start/end terminators and arrow connectors — plus a ready-made starter flowchart you can build on instead of starting from a blank canvas. Each shape is a vector object, so you can resize, restyle and relabel it — a diamond can be stretched into a wider decision box without redrawing it. If the panel does not have what you need, draw it with the rectangle, ellipse, line or polygon tools and it behaves the same way.
How do I connect flowchart shapes with arrows?
Use the arrow tool to draw a connector between two shapes. Turn on the grid to snap shapes and connector endpoints into a tidy, aligned layout as you build the chart. Select a connector afterwards to move its endpoints, restyle it or delete it without disturbing the shapes it joined.
Can I edit the text inside a flowchart shape?
Yes — flowchart shape labels are editable in place. Double-click any shape's label to type into it directly, and use the inspector panel to change font, size and color for the selected shape. The label stays attached to its shape, so moving the box carries the text with it.
What formats can I export my flowchart to?
Export the finished flowchart as a PNG or SVG image for docs and slides, or save it as a JSON project file so you can reopen and keep editing the same diagram later. PNG suits pasting into a doc or slide, while SVG stays crisp at any zoom and can be recoloured in a vector editor. The JSON is the only one of the three that reopens here with every shape and connector still separate.
Are there keyboard shortcuts?
Yes — the flowchart maker has keyboard shortcuts for editing, view and tool switching. Ctrl/Cmd+Z undoes and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z or Ctrl/Cmd+Y redoes (up to 50 steps), Ctrl/Cmd+D duplicates the selection, Ctrl/Cmd+C and Ctrl/Cmd+V copy and paste, and Delete or Backspace removes what's selected. Plus and minus zoom in and out, holding Space lets you pan the canvas, and Escape finishes a polygon. Single keys switch tools: V select, P pencil, L line, R rectangle, O ellipse, T text, A arrow.
What colour tools are included?
Pick a base colour and the harmony picker generates nine sets from it — shades, tints, tones, monochromatic, complementary, split-complementary, analogous, triadic and tetradic. You can also load a reference image and pull its dominant colours straight into the swatch tray. Clicking a swatch sets the active stroke or fill, whichever the colour switch is pointing at, and applies it to any shape or connector you have selected.
