How the Click Speed Test Works
Pick a test length, then click the pad as fast as you can. The timer starts on your very first click and your clicks-per-second is your total clicks divided by the seconds.
Choose your time
The classic test is 10 seconds. Short 1 and 5-second tests reward a burst of speed; 60 and 100-second tests measure how long you can keep your click rate up before your hand tires.
Click as fast as you can
Your first click starts the clock. Keep clicking anywhere on the pad until the bar runs out — on a phone or tablet, tap instead of click. Try the spacebar test or right-click test for a different challenge.
Beat your best
When time is up you get your CPS, total clicks and a click rank from Snail to Rocket. Your best score for each time and mode is saved on your device, so you always have a target to beat.
What Is a Good CPS?
CPS stands for clicks per second. Here is roughly where a 10-second score puts you — the ranks in the test follow the same scale.
3–5 CPS — warming up
A relaxed, everyday clicking pace. Comfortable, but there's plenty of headroom.
6–7 CPS — average
Where most people land with normal clicking. A good, repeatable score to defend.
8+ CPS — fast
Above 8 CPS is quick, and 10+ usually means a technique like jitter clicking or butterfly clicking rather than single-finger clicks.
