The Number Puzzle is a classic sliding tile puzzle. Tiles numbered 1 upward sit on a grid with one empty space, and your goal is to slide them into order with the blank ending in the bottom-right corner. Tap any tile in the same row or column as the empty space and the whole run of tiles slides toward it, or use the arrow keys on a keyboard. You can switch between a 3×3, 4×4 or 5×5 grid for more of a challenge, and every shuffle is generated by scrambling a solved board with legal moves, so it is always solvable. A hint button highlights a helpful next move, and the timer and move counter track your run so you can chase a better best time.

The Block Puzzle is a sliding-block escape puzzle. Wooden blocks of different sizes fill a six-by-six board; horizontal blocks only slide left and right, vertical blocks only slide up and down, and they cannot pass through each other. One special red block sits on the exit row, and your job is to clear a path and slide it out through the gap on the right edge. Drag a block along its track with your finger or mouse and it stops when it meets another block or the wall. There are twenty-five hand-made levels from Beginner to Expert, with undo and reset buttons, and a hint powered by a real solver that always knows the shortest way out.

Brain Puzzles ships with three hand-tuned wooden themes that you can switch between at any time from the swatches in the top bar. Classic Wood is the default — pale oak tiles on a soft linen board. Dark Walnut is a rich, low-light espresso theme that is easy on the eyes at night. Slate swaps the timber for a light, airy stone look that echoes the LK Forge home style. Whichever you choose is saved in your browser and re-applied automatically the next time you play, and the whole interface — board, tiles, buttons and particles — recolours instantly to match.

Yes, both modes have a hint button. In the Number Puzzle the hint looks at the current board and briefly highlights the tile whose move brings the puzzle closest to being solved, nudging you in a sensible direction without solving it for you. In the Block Puzzle the hint is backed by a breadth-first search solver that computes the genuine shortest solution from your current position, then highlights the very next block you should move along the optimal path. The same solver is used to label each level with a par move count, so you can measure your solution against the best possible.
