Building a Privacy-First Weather Tool

A weather tool does not need to know who you are. Ours is built so that the only thing that ever leaves your browser is the location you ask about.

No accounts, no ads, no SDKs

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to install. The page carries no advertising and no third-party analytics SDKs — the kind that quietly follow you around the web. The honesty row on the tool says exactly that: free, no tracking, no ads, forecast by Open-Meteo.

The minimum data, by design

To return a forecast the tool must send a location to Open-Meteo — that is unavoidable for any live weather service, and we say so plainly rather than pretending it is offline. But that is the whole story: we send coordinates, get a forecast back, and render it. Your unit preference and last city are stored locally on your device, not on a server. By contrast, the Moon and Sun tools are pure maths and never call out at all.

Use a weather forecast that doesn't track you.
