What this verbal reasoning test measures
Verbal reasoning is your ability to understand, analyse and draw conclusions from written language — a core part of aptitude tests used in school entrance exams and graduate job selection. This practice test probes it five ways. Synonyms and antonyms check the breadth and precision of your vocabulary — do you know which word means the same, and which means the opposite? Word analogies test whether you can spot the relationship between two words and apply it to a new pair. Odd-one-out asks you to find the shared category four words belong to and the one that breaks it. And letter series bring in sequence logic, where you continue a pattern of letters.
Difficulty ramps as you go: early questions use everyday words, later ones reach for less common vocabulary and multi-step patterns. Because every test is generated fresh, you can practise the format as often as you like — and practising genuinely makes you faster at recognising these question types.
How to read your score honestly
Your result shows a raw score out of 20, a descriptive band, and a per-category breakdown. The honest version: a short, self-administered online test cannot produce an official aptitude percentile. Real selection tests are timed, proctored and normed against a specific population. What this test can tell you is how sharp your word knowledge and verbal logic felt today, and which question types to drill before a real exam.
