What this spatial reasoning test measures
Spatial reasoning is your ability to picture objects in your mind and manipulate them — a skill that predicts success in engineering, architecture, design, surgery and the trades, and a core part of many aptitude tests. This practice test probes it five ways. Rotation series ask you to see how a shape turns by a fixed angle each step and pick the next. Mirror image questions test whether you can tell a reflection from a rotation. Odd-one-out hides one mirror image among rotations of the same shape. Visual matrices grow by a fixed rule, and rotate-the-shape asks you to turn a figure by a stated angle in your head.
All the figures use a deliberately asymmetric shape, so a rotation and its mirror image are genuinely different — the puzzle is to keep track of orientation and handedness at once. Difficulty ramps as you go, and because every test is generated fresh, you can practise as often as you like.
How to read your score honestly
Your result shows a raw score out of 20, a descriptive band, and a per-category breakdown. The honest version: a short, self-scored online test cannot produce an official aptitude percentile — real selection tests are timed, proctored and normed. What this test can tell you is how quickly your mind's eye rotates and flips shapes today, and which spatial question types to drill before an exam.
