How do I find a meeting time across time zones?
Use the planner above: search for and pin each city you need — your own zone is added automatically and tagged "You" — and the tool draws a 24-hour grid where every cell is coloured by that city's local hour (green for 9am–5pm working hours, amber for the early or late edges, grey for night). Scan down a column for an hour that is reasonable everywhere, then click it to lock that moment; the readout spells out the exact local time in each pinned city, flagging when it falls on the previous or next day.
What do the green, amber and grey colours mean?
Green marks working hours (9am to 5pm local), amber marks the early-morning and evening edges (7–8am and 6–9pm) when a call is possible but not ideal, and grey marks night-time hours when most people are asleep. The colours are computed from each city's own local time at the selected moment, so they already account for daylight saving.
Does the planner handle daylight saving time?
Yes, automatically. Every city is tied to its official IANA time zone, so the grid uses the correct offset for the exact date you are viewing — when a region is on summer time, its column shifts by an hour with no action from you.
