How to use the keyword density checker

Paste any text — an article, essay, product page or email — and the table updates instantly with the words that appear most often and how heavily each one is used. Switch between single words and 2- or 3-word phrases to spot repeated expressions, and toggle Ignore common words to hide filler like "the" and "and" so the meaningful terms rise to the top. What is keyword density?
Keyword density is how often a word or phrase appears in a piece of text, expressed as a percentage of the total word count. If a keyword appears 6 times in a 300-word article, its density is 6 ÷ 300 = 2%. It's a rough signal of what a page is about, useful for spotting over-used or missing terms when editing.
What is a good keyword density?
There's no exact target, and modern search engines don't reward a specific number. As a rule of thumb, keeping a main keyword's density in a natural range — often cited as around 1 to 2% — avoids both under-use and keyword stuffing. Write for readers first; use density only to catch words you've leaned on too heavily or forgotten to include.
What are stop words?
Stop words are very common words like the, a, and, of and to that appear in almost any text and rarely carry meaning on their own. Turning on the stop-word filter hides them so the table shows the words and phrases that actually describe your topic.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser as you type or paste, so nothing you enter is sent to a server, logged or stored. There's no account or sign-up, and it works offline once the page has loaded.
