unjumble your word jumble — every letter used, the Daily Jumble way
0/15
Type your jumbled letters above and press Unscramble It. With Daily Jumble mode on, only words that use every letter appear — a five-letter jumble returns five-letter answers, exactly like the newspaper puzzle. Untick the box to also see every shorter word hidden in your letters.
How the Jumble Solver Works
A word jumble scrambles one real word into alphabet soup — RDGENA hides GARDEN. Enter the scrambled letters in any order and the jumble word solver checks them against the ENABLE open word list, returning valid answers instantly. Daily Jumble mode keeps the Length filter locked to your letter count so every result is a true anagram. You can still open Options to require a starting letter, ending letter, or contained sequence — handy when you have already guessed part of the answer — and ? or * stand in for an unknown letter.
Anagram Mode vs. Every Word
An anagram uses all of your letters exactly once; an unscrambler finds every word hidden in any of them. Jumble puzzles are anagrams, which is why this page defaults to anagram-only results. But if you are playing a different game — or a stray letter crept into your scramble — untick Use every letter and the solver returns the full unscrambler view: every valid word of every length, longest first, each with its Scrabble and Words With Friends points. For the classic subset view with game dictionaries, the full Word Unscrambler is one click away.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a jumble solver and how does it work?
A jumble solver takes a set of scrambled letters and finds the real words hidden inside them. Type your jumbled letters and press Unscramble It: the solver checks the combinations against the ENABLE open word list and returns every valid result instantly. With Daily Jumble mode on (the default), you only see words that use every letter you entered — a true anagram, which is how Jumble scrambles work. Untick it and the solver behaves like a full word unscrambler, returning shorter words hidden in your letters too. Everything runs in your browser, so results are instant and your letters never leave your device.
What does "Use every letter (Daily Jumble mode)" do?
Jumble puzzle words are full anagrams: a five-letter scramble always unjumbles to a five-letter answer. With the box ticked, the solver automatically sets the Length filter to match the number of letters you typed, so the results show only words that use all of them. Untick the box to clear that filter and see every word of every length that can be formed from your letters — useful for other word games, or when you are not sure a letter belongs in the scramble.
How do I solve the Daily Jumble puzzle?
The Daily Jumble has two stages. First, unjumble each of the four to six scrambled words — enter each one here with Daily Jumble mode on and the answer appears immediately. Second, collect the letters from the circled positions of your solved words: those circled letters are themselves a jumble that spells the final answer to the cartoon clue. Solve that phrase using the cartoon's pun as your guide — the final answer is almost always a play on words related to the drawing.
Can it solve the final multi-word Jumble answer?
Not automatically — the final answer is usually a multi-word pun, and there are too many ways to split a pile of letters into several words for a clean automatic answer. What works well by hand: count the blanks to learn each word's length, place likely short words first (OF, TO, IN, THE, A), lean on the cartoon's pun for the theme, and if one long word remains, enter its letters here with Daily Jumble mode on to crack it like a normal scramble.
What word list does this solver validate against?
It validates against ENABLE, a free, openly-licensed English word list of ~172,800 words widely used by open-source word games. ENABLE is not the official NASPA (TWL) or Collins (CSW) tournament list — those are copyrighted. The Scrabble and Words With Friends points shown alongside results are standard tile values.
Is the jumble solver free and private?
Yes. There is no account, no sign-up, no payment, and no daily limit. The dictionary and all of the solving logic are bundled with the page and run in your browser, so the letters you enter never leave your device or get sent to a server — and results appear instantly even on a slow connection.
