How to use this habit tracker

Two ways to use it: print a paper template, or track online.

1

List your habits

Type a title and add the habits you want to build — one per line. Keep it to three to five to start; a short list is far easier to stick with.

2

Pick weekly or monthly

Weekly gives each day room and suits new routines; monthly shows a long streak at a glance. The preview updates as you type.

3

Print, save a PDF, or download a PNG

Press Print / Save as PDF to send it to your printer or save a reusable PDF, or Download PNG for an image. Stick it on the fridge or drop it in your planner.

4

Prefer digital? Track online

Use the online tracker to tick each day and watch your streak grow. Everything saves in your browser on this device — no sign-up, nothing uploaded.

Why use a habit tracker?

A habit tracker turns an intention into a visible, daily commitment. The simple act of ticking a box gives you a small hit of satisfaction and, more importantly, an honest record of what you actually did — not what you meant to do. Over a week or a month, that record becomes a chain you do not want to break, which is one of the most reliable motivators for building a routine.

Paper and digital each have a place. A printable habit tracker on the fridge or in a journal is always in view, never buried behind a lock screen, and takes ten seconds to mark. An online tracker travels with you and does the counting for you. This tool gives you both from one page: design and print a template, or tick habits off online — whichever keeps you consistent.

Habit ideas to track

Common daily habits people track include drinking water, exercise or a short walk, reading, sleep, meditation, journaling, no-sugar or no-alcohol days, taking vitamins, stretching, and screen-time limits. Pick the few that matter most right now rather than trying to fix everything at once.

Frequently asked questions

How do I print the habit tracker?
Type your title and list your habits, choose the weekly or monthly layout, then press Print / Save as PDF. Your browser's print dialog opens showing only the clean habit grid — pick your printer to print it, or choose Save as PDF (or Microsoft Print to PDF) as the destination to save a PDF file you can print later or reuse. You can also press Download PNG to save the grid as an image.
Is the habit tracker free? Do I need an account?
It is completely free and needs no sign-up. Both the printable template and the online tracker run entirely in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded to a server. The online tracker saves your habits and check-marks in your browser's local storage on this device, so they are there when you come back — but they are not synced across devices, and clearing your browser data will remove them.
Should I use a weekly or monthly layout?
Use a weekly grid when you are building a new routine or tracking many habits — seven columns keep each day roomy and the short cycle makes it easy to reset and stay motivated. Use a monthly grid for habits you want to see momentum on over time; a full month of ticks in a row is a powerful visual streak. Many people print a weekly sheet for the fridge and keep a monthly sheet in a planner or bullet journal.
How many habits should I track at once?
Start with three to five. Focusing on a small number of keystone habits means each one gets real attention; tracking twenty things at once usually leads to tracking none of them. The template allows up to fifteen habits and the online tracker up to twenty, but a short, meaningful list is what actually sticks.
